Although Norfolk\u2019s Custom\u2019s House records are no longer extant due to a series of fires during the nineteenth century, many of the ship manifests were sent to the main Custom\u2019s House office in Washington, DC and are on file at the National Archives. Still others are available through the New Orleans Custom\u2019s House records.
